Every year on November 14th, India commemorates Children’s Day. Apart from paying honor to our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, it speaks of children’s rights, care, and education. Children referred him as Chacha Nehru, and he was a strong supporter of children’s education, always looking for ways to guarantee that they had a successful life. This day is a testament to his affection for children.

The meaning of Children’s Day is to reflect on how well the rights granted to children are implemented for the benefit of each child. And if they must be recognized or emphasized exclusively on this day, is a question we must ask ourselves.
In schools and children’s facilities, the day is observed with zeal. Toys, chocolates, and gifts are given to youngsters, and every effort is made to make it unique for them. However, as individuals, we must consider the wider picture. Is it possible for every child in the country to exercise his or her fundamental rights to education, health, and family? Is there no evidence of child abuse? Is the threat of child labor fully eradicated? If not, the very least we can do is raise awareness among parents and request that they provide their children with an atmosphere in which they can thrive.
Furthermore, the essence of Children’s Day is that it does not distinguish between a girl and a boy child. Our message to the youth must be to resist peer pressure, to perform to their full potential, and to not be afraid to seek help when dealing with stressful psychological situations and issues. In terms of academics, ideas, and growth, the new India is now open to possibilities. Our kids, motivated by passion and enthusiasm, have strong opinions, and the best approach to aid them is to provide them with an incentive and direction to pursue their passions.

Significance of Children's Day
These magnificent words weigh them down and will be remembered for a long time. He devoted his life to ensuring that every kid had the fundamental right to education, and he worked diligently to support the creation of different educational establishments throughout India. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), a brick-and-mortar foundation, embodies one of Chacha Nehru’s aspirations, a step toward the construction of a bright future for the youth. Indian Institutes of Management is another of his ideas that have come to fruition. Such institutions are now called “Institutes of National Importance,” and they are an important part of nation-building.
How to Celebrate Children’s Day?
Because classes would be suspended for the day, this would likely be the one day of the year when youngsters would be excited to attend school. Every school makes it a point to commemorate Children’s Day by hosting a variety of events, the majority of which include music, dance, puppet shows, skits, and other forms of entertainment. These activities are planned and carried out by teachers for their beloved little monsters. Various children organizations like schools, kindergarten, daycare centers host a variety of activities and competitions, including art and craft, games, sketching and painting, and so on. Children are usually rewarded with free food at the end of the event if they have had a good time.
